With Tough Decisions, Come Hard Facts.

Well, I gotta' admit, I feel at home with my new sponsors. No small town egos or attitudes. No drama between the ones we're supposed to support. Just a common knowledge of why we do it, and an appreciation for the spirit behind why we do it. Quitting my last sponsor was one of the hardest things to do, cuz' I have love for the ones behind it. But when the family is in turmoil over issues not associated with the movement, it's time to move on...
I appreciate everything people do for me, and I will always speak highly of the ones that support the stoke factor behind the reason. But I must do what is in the best interest for me, my happiness, and my carrer.
Luckily I landed on a team that has been in it since the late 70's, and know what's really important. I mean, come on!! Their motto is "Ride With Pride".. That sums it up completely.. Thank you John and Lee. I am extremely proud!!

Yeah!!! It Was Dry!!!!!

This time last year, we went to check out some reservoir's and lakes for some gold. I have been a pipe hunter for 20+ years, and I know where and what to look for, and the time of year to do it. Last year the storms came in early, but this year has been really dry, so we decided to make the journey to see if it was dry. We were not dissapointed. So glad a few homies were in town to enjoy it with us.. This trip was epic... Too bad we can't invite just anyone, cuz' it was so epic!!!

42 And Still Bargin'.... So, Fuck You Kid!!

Seems like no matter how old you get, there's always "that guy" in the scene. Trash talkin' the heart that some put into the things that mean most to them. Poisoning the 'energy' that grows between a family of motivated fun lovers, and skateboarding is no exception. Seems like through the 30+ years of experience, I've managed to run into all of them. But with 30+ years of experience, comes the knowledge of knowing how to deal with them. But pretty much, I ignore them. They've never lifted a finger to make my world what it is, and they will never know the family that lies deep within it. So why bother? Most of them will quit skating before they're 30. And the ones that don't probably will not be able to ollie up a curb, due to the heavy weight of 'dues' and 'bad Karma.
Well, I'm 42 with a long story of travel and adventure under the belt, and I'm not nearly finished logging stories of epic trips and great friends. This is just another chapter in what I'm proud to say, is my career, my life, and who I am. I am a skateboarder. And this shit is forever!!!
Yeah, I'm 42, so what?!! I'm still pushin',and still ragin' harder than kids half my age, and I still have 20 walls on any fool thinkin' their too big for being decent. And the best part, is I'm having a blast the whole time.
