we went and we conquered

i walked up to this thing and went HOLEY SHIT!! i've never seen anything in person like this before. pictures do not do this thing justice. the monolith is not as big as it appears in photos and the bowl where it stands is actually compact and probably would have been more functional if it was a little more wide open. i skated the fullpipe the whole time with a few breaks for shade, beer, and an occasionally roll through the banks and fishpond areas.

this is where you go in. there's a long 75 degree sloping bank into it. you come out with so much speed it takes two waterfalls to shut it down. most people don't want to.

serf punx

it gets insanely hot in the summertime so you gotta make your own oasis just to keep from melting. the first summer i moved out, we had occasional serf punx parties that suurounded this little slice of awesomeness.
