someday it would be nice to sleep in but there's too much to do, rad stuff to skate, people to see and things to create, damn, see how i did that. memphis continues to save us from dying of skate boredom.
trife crew worked all day saturday to get the backfill started on what will be one of the smoothest diy qps to ever exist. if you think yours is better, take us to it.
one of the best things that comes along with DIY is the stuff you learn. i've been watching wrex create some rad stuff, and this tool is probably one of the coolest i've ever witnessed being used in my entire life. the ramshot. as powerful as a 22 - which i overheard bambei say - a 22 can travel over a mile.
"ow, my ears"
once we got the backfill held in with the fencing and the mesh up, the next step was to get the concrete line straight for the bottom lip of the qp - diamond blades + PBR to keep the blade cool = gettin it done.
the neighbor was up bright and early on his way to get beer until he realized it was sunday as taylor was busting out the prepped concrete to get the line straight.
the result of the blade and sledgehammer
gathered up some funds and put home depot to work with another load of concrete
progress shots, as the day went on, the crew switched up duties from packing, mixing, pouring, finishing, general shittalking and heckling until the day is done around 5 or so
some new faces showed up and a bet was made that if taylor ollied the gap, the new faces would donate $20 - bambei made it, fuckers need to pay up. (that in no way is meant to hurt someone's feelings, but damn this was sick!)
various work shots and shots of the sick spot they picked out...
where we finished... a long day, but so much fun. can't wait to work on the next thing at altown...
oh wait, what's that in the distance? um yah i have no idea what happened here. shred it!
even more pics to come once i find them.
